University of Brasilia The Institute of Arts has opened a new selection process for those wishing to pursue an academic career in the field of Visual Arts. The call for applications has been released. vacancies all with master‘s and doctorate, offering researchers and professionals the chance to deepen their studies on contemporary art, culture, and visual production.

Entry is scheduled for the second half of 2026In addition, the program includes affirmative action policy, expanding access to postgraduate studies and encouraging diversity among new researchers.

Yes. Participants who complete the program receive Academic degree of master‘s or doctorate in Visual Arts, granted by the University of Brasília.

This qualification is nationally recognized and allows for work in various fields, such as:

  • art criticism and cultural analysis

Furthermore, the training strengthens the resumes of professionals linked to education, culture, and the arts.

How does the registration process work to participate in the UnB selection process?

Registration takes place exclusively online, through… university academic systemThe candidate must complete the electronic form within the deadline specified in the announcement.

The registration period remains open. until April 10, 2026. The rate is R$200although there is a possibility of exemption for some specific profiles, such as people in Situations of economic vulnerability, bone marrow donors, and employees affiliated with the University of Brasília Foundation.

After registration, participants then go through several evaluation stages. These include analysis of the preliminary research project, a written exam, evaluation of the academic curriculum, and an oral defense before an examining board.
